Why this exists
Six photos and a generic bio are a terrible way to choose a human. You can't tell from a grid how someone laughs, how they communicate when it's awkward, whether they help without being asked, how they play, or how they treat the people around them.
That's the stuff you actually want to know — and it only ever shows up in real life. So Through Friends flips the order. Profiles decide who should be in the room. Then real life does the matching.

How it works
Short and useful: first name, age, suburb, gender, who you're interested in, relationship status, kids or life stage, what you're actually looking for, interests, values, energy and social style, preferred age range, travel radius, dealbreakers, your ideal Sunday, what you want more of, and the kind of person you tend to click with. Optional 30-second video intro.
No endless swiping through faces. Your profile and preferences help us decide which events and groups are likely to hold genuinely compatible people — so you walk in already in the right room.
Events, walks, adventures, cooking, games, challenges, dinner, proper social experiences. The stuff where personality actually shows up.
After the event you privately pick up to three people you'd like to see again — ❤️ I'd like to go on a date · 👋 I'd like to hang out again · 🥾 I'd join another activity with them.
Only mutual romantic choices are ever revealed. No public rejection. Nobody sees anyone else's private selections. Ever.
Friend Vouch · optional
Nobody describes you better than the people who love you. Pop in a mate's name and we'll send them a short, three-question link. It's warm, it's a bit cheeky, and it keeps everyone honest.
